SE Minnesota Dairy Initiatives Dairy Farm Bus Tour to NE Iowa

We will be touring top management family dairy farms of different breeds, facilities and management objectives. On the first day, we will tour Lyon’s Jerseys at Toledo, Iowa, Diamond-V Headquarters plant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Reuter Dairy, a six hundred cow Registered Holstein farm at Peosta, IA.

Day 2: We will start with a tour of Stempfle Dairy, another six hundred cow Registered Holstein Farm at Maynard, IA followed by a visit to Langreck Dairy at West Union, IA; with two milking robots. The final stop after lunch will be at the Mashek’s Hilltop Acres Brown Swiss farm at Calmar, IA.

The cost of the trip is $50/ person registration, which includes the bus trip and all meals. You will be responsible for your hotel room cost at the Comfort Inn at Dyersville, IA. (563-875-7700)

We will start the trip at 7 AM on November 14, leaving from Zumbrota, MN public parking on the east side of town by the VFW. We will also have a stop at the Americinn at the Rochester Airport to pick up additional riders. We will return back to Zumbrota by 6 PM on Wednesday evening, the 15th.
